We went on a bushwalk, scrambling across rugged headland. 

The big boy was a trooper, walking nearly the entire way until conking out five minutes from home.

The small boy slept through his first proper hike, waking only to eat and take in the glorious view at our rest spot atop a rugged cove.

We need to do this more.

The week that ended with the big boy having a bad fall requiring a rather stressful overnight trip to Brisbane for a hospital visit. Think juggling two small kids in cars and boats for half a day (each way) and solo parenting to boot - not my idea of fun.

Thankfully, he is fine.

How very abstract the concept of time must be to a not-quite three year old.

And at not-quite two months: smiles, dimples, kicking and a little voice emerging.
